Types of legalization of redevelopment

When planning a major renovation in a house or apartment (merging or dividing rooms, adding an attic, changing the placement of windows and doors, combining several apartments into one), or converting living space into an office or retail space, it is worth knowing that such changes require registration and to carry them out you must have permission. It is worth noting that illegal reconstructions entail administrative liability and fines. There are three main types of legalization of such changes:

  1. Legalization of residential redevelopment, which is just being planned. In such cases, the first action is to obtain a permit for such work. After the work is completed, the facility is put into operation and new title documents are drawn up with the necessary updates.
  2. Legalization of the redevelopment of the premises after completion of such work. Initially, it is necessary to obtain permission to preserve unauthorized buildings, undergo technical control and obtain the appropriate conclusion, obtain permission and a registration certificate from other government bodies, then submit a declaration of completion of reconstruction work and register the property under the changes made.
  3. Legalization of self-construction in court. In this case, the court decision will be a document of title, on the basis of which it is already possible to carry out legal state registration of ownership of the self-construction.
